On 2 February 2024, UNFPA organized a sports walk for Youth Week 2024, highlighting the theme ‘No to violence in all its forms’. Butterfly Cameroon, civil society representatives, administrative authorities and young people took part in this march in Maroua.
The event aimed to encourage safety, non-violence and prudence among young people during this week dedicated to youth. Starting at the Place des Fêtes, the march took in the Carrefour Artisanal traffic circle, Avenue Kakatare and ended at the esplanade of the Governor’s Office.
Intern Sah Dili Alice Grâce represented Butterfly Cameroon, underlining the importance of the organization’s commitment to peaceful values, non-violence awareness and the promotion of positive citizenship among young people.
