1 June 2023: Mental health sector coordination meeting at IOM Maroua, training of Butterfly Cameroon mental health ambassadors praised by various organisations
On 1 June 1, 2023, Butterfly took part in the mental health sector coordination meeting at the headquarters of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Maroua. Several presentations were made on the issue of mental health. The organizations and associations taking part in the meeting also took stock of the latest recommendations on the creation of a map of mental health players, which is currently being finalized. Recommendations were also made to group mental health services into sub-groups by department.
Organizations and associations were able to present their mental health activities. The training of Butterfly Cameroon ambassadors for mental health, held from May 10 to 11, 2023, was appreciated by the assembly.
