As part of the launch of its project to promote mental health among school students through the creation of mental health clubs, Butterfly Cameroon met with the principal of the SABIL complex in Maroua, on April 20, 2023, to advocate for the creation of Butterfly Cameroon health clubs in his school.
We are convinced that mental health is a major issue for the well-being of young people, and that mental health clubs can provide a space for students to talk and listen to each other, and help them build resilience, self-confidence and the ability to manage stress, anxiety and emotions.
The mental health clubs will be facilitated by mental health professionals and will be open to all students in the school. This initiative will have a positive impact on the lives of youth and we hope to inspire other organizations to promote youth mental health in their communities.
We are pleased to launch this initiative at SABIL and we thank the principal and the entire educational team for their support in this project.
