IOM meets with partners CSO organisations to plan activities for Youth Week
On Friday, February 2, 2024, IOM and its partners including Butterfly Cameroon, FADEC, ADECOPACAM, AGADJAS and RESAEC, held a meeting on the activities to be carried out during Youth Week in establishments in Maroua.
Indeed, IOM and its partners intend to organize these activities with the aim of sensitizing students and citizens to the issue of mental health. Several schools have been selected for this purpose. They are the Lycée de Domayo, the Lycée de Doualaré, the Lycée Hardé and the Maroua Central Prison.
An awareness-raising activity is scheduled for Wednesday February 7, a soccer match on February 8 at 2.30pm at the central prison, and another awareness-raising activity on February 9.
Butterfly Cameroon trainees Sah Dili Grace and Laetitia Pam represented the association at the meeting. Butterfly Cameroon’s participation in this meeting testifies to the importance the association attaches to the social well-being, strengthening of community ties and opportunities for personal development of its targets.
