International Women’s Day 2023
This year’s theme is “DigitALL: innovation and technology for gender equality.”
According to the United Nations, 37% of women do not use the internet. Although they make up half of the world’s population, the technology gap is at their disadvantage compared to the male population.
However, this day of struggle is also an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the women and girls who are engaged and committed to digital, transformative technologies as well as digital education.
Furthermore, it is also an opportunity to highlight not only the gender digital divide and its impact on the consolidation of economic inequalities, but also the importance of respecting women’s rights in digital spaces.
