The Regional Coordinator of Butterfly Cameroon for the Far-North Region of Cameroon, Nadege Kenmegne, was invited by Markedai Emmanuel, President of the Jeune Chambre International Maroua, on request by the President of Humanitarian Ambassador, to participate in a consultation meeting of leaders of Civil Society Organisations (CSO) of the region, yesterday, 12 August 2022, at Hotel Le Saré.
The aim of this meeting was to create of a consortium of CSO of the Lake Chad Basin, the main interventions of which would be:
– to promote peace and social cohesion,
– security,
– awareness-raising on climate, etc.
The next meeting is slated for 10 September for the development of the bylaws and other activities (commissions were created in this regard).
Butterfly Cameroon commends such initiatives, which call for the mutualisation of civil society efforts for the sake of our communities.
