Butterfly Cameroon took part in activities to commemorate the International Day of Peace in Maroua
As part of the celebration of the International Day of Peace, several civil society organizations organized acivities from September 18 to 21 in Maroua on the theme of the day, “Actions in favor of peace: our ambitions for the #GlobalGoals”.
The program of activities included a radio broadcast (Monday, September 18) on the theme of the Day on the premises of Sahel Gothel, CRTV, Woila and Djamaré radio stations. A sports walk was also organized in the city of Maroua (Wednesday September 20), followed by an awareness-raising event at the Lycée bilingue de Domayo.
On Thursday September 21, the CSOs visited the Domayo camp for internally displaced persons.
Butterfly Cameroon, represented by its head of legal affairs, Antoine Mbourtekaï, took part in this activity, which included an educational talk, various games and attractions, food distribution and a community meal.
