Butterfly Cameroon at the Maroua craft market as part of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence

Butterfly Cameroon at the Maroua craft market as part of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence (GBV)

Our dedicated trainees, Aboubakar Sali, Haoua Bobbo, Bitjah Emassi Michèle and Amounagai Sara, were deployed to the Maroua craft market, to help raise awareness of HIV/AIDS.

Choosing the market for its diversity, our team reached a wide audience, regardless of gender. Topics covered included HIV/AIDS, its causes and consequences, as well as advice on how to live with HIV by taking care of oneself, while avoiding any form of discrimination against others.

As part of this initiative, Butterfly Cameroon also distributed flyers and condoms to extend the reach of its action.
