Awareness-raising activity in the Lycées de Doualaré, Hardé and bilingual de Domayo in Maroua: Towards good mental health of pupils for academic success
Following IOM’s meeting with its partners, including Butterfly Cameroon, held on February 2 in Maroua, an awareness-raising activity was scheduled for 7 February 2024, at the Lycée de Doualaré, the Lycée de Hardé and the Lycée bilingue de Domayo in Maroua as part of Youth Week.
Yesterday, February 7, the activity took place in the presence of Butterfly Cameroon trainees Sah Dili Grace and Pam Laetitia. The aim was to raise awareness among young people of stress management in the school environment, so that they can cope with academic and social pressures to ensure their mental well-being and academic success. They were also made aware of sexual harassment in schools, the use of psychoactive substances harmful to their health, and female circumcision.
By working in collaboration with other actors and stakeholders, Butterfly Cameroon strengthens the impact of its awareness-raising efforts and contributes to positive change within communities.
