Training workshop for humanitarian actors on humanitarian principles, actions and access

In order to facilitate the understanding of humanitarian actions and principles, Butterfly Cameroon and other humanitarian actors participated in a training workshop on 13 December 2023 at the Salle des actes of the Commune of Mokolo.

The main objective of this workshop, organized by the United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), was to build the capacities of organizations (NGOs and associations), administrative authorities, communal executives, as well as community and religious leaders.

The event began with the welcoming and installation of administrative authorities, communal executives and community and religious leaders. Speeches were given by the prefect and the head of the Mokolo OCHA sub-office.
Before diving into the training, participants introduced themselves and shared their expectations. The training itself was structured around two modules. The first, focusing on humanitarian principles and actions, was presented by the head of the OCHA Mokolo sub-office.

The second module focused on humanitarian access, highlighting the ability of humanitarian actors to reach crisis-affected populations and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian services.
Butterfly Cameroon was represented at this meeting by its trainee Nezoumne Cécile.
