PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FAIR
Theme: Community Project Management
Butterfly Cameroon is a non-political, non-profit association under Cameroonian law, working for sustainable development, social justice and community empowerment. The organization has recently set up a Regional Unit in Maroua, in the Far North Region of Cameroon.
Indeed, the upsurge in terrorist attacks along the border with Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin continues to cause massive displacement of populations, both in the Far North Region and beyond its borders. Faced with this precarious security situation caused by the crisis, Butterfly Cameroon intends to contribute through the realization of various activities, among which, the holding of its first “Vocational Training Fair”.
This is a project that aims to strengthen the capacities of professionals, recent graduates and students in: personal development, leadership, entrepreneurship, community development, management of humanitarian development projects, etc.
In order to reach the greatest number of people, the organization intends to organize one (01) training per month to train 500 young people in one year.
Objectives of the training
The Community Project Management training is designed for members of associations/organizations, students, recent graduates and young professionals who wish to expand their skills in effective project management.
This course follows the steps of the participatory community development framework to better equip participants to plan, implement and evaluate projects.
It also aims to teach participants how to use project management tools to boost the achievement of results.
Throughout this training, participants will follow a project example through the different stages of project management. They will get a hands-on experience of the process through practical immersion and participatory work methods.
