On 27 February, Butterlfy Cameroon had an interesting meeting with students at Hymae, Comice in Maroua.
This meeting featured discussions on the theme of the International Women’s Day as chosen by the United Nations, “Gender equality for a sustainable tomorrow”.
More specifically, documentaries screened enabled the participants to discuss the issues of climate change in Cameroon and in the Far North region.
Ultimately, we discussed, not only the important role that women play in combatting climate change, but also the importance to ensure their empowerment in order to increase their level of participation in building more sustainable communities.
